Trail
Leaves fading copies of its entity’s Sprite behind as it moves: dashes, speed, ghosts, bullets with streaks. Copies are left every Interval seconds while it moves at least MinSpeed.
Requires: Sprite (the copies left behind)
Draws itself, along with the rest of its entity (it doesn’t set the entity’s draw order).
Properties
Section titled “Properties”Each is listed as its key in the scene file and the MCP tools, then its kind of value, its default and what it does.
interval: a number = 0.04. Seconds between copies. (Field: a number.)fade: a number = 0.25. Seconds each copy takes to fade away. (Field: a number.)opacity: a number = 0.5. How see-through a fresh copy is, from 0 (invisible) to 1 (as solid as the sprite). (Field: a number.)color: a color, “#RRGGBB” or “#RRGGBBAA” = “#00000000”. A color painted over the copies, e.g. a cyan dash. Transparent keeps the sprite’s own look. (Field: a color.)minSpeed: a number = 1. Only leave copies while moving at least this fast, in world units per second: just the dash, not the walk. (Field: a number.)emitting: true or false = true. Untick it (from a script, say at the end of a dash) to stop leaving copies; those already left still fade. (Field: on or off.)
Scripts use it as Trail: its methods, events and values that aren’t saved with the scene.
