Block

Shows the entity as a solid box of wall in a FirstPersonView rather than a flat sprite: doors, gates, pillars, secret walls. The box is its BoxCollider, as tall as the view’s walls, textured with its Sprite (or that sprite’s color). Move it with a Mover or hide it with a Switch to open it.

Part of the First Person module: First-person games: the world seen through the player’s eyes from a flat map (FirstPersonView), walking and turning (FirstPersonMovement), weapons, billboards and solid blocks, and the Shooter template.

Requires: BoxCollider

Works with: Sprite (its image or color covers the box); Mover (slides it open)

Each is listed as its key in the scene file and the MCP tools, then its kind of value, its default and what it does.

  • shaded: true or false = true. Shade it like the walls in the fog and dark. Untick it for something that glows: a lit sign, a force field. (Field: on or off.)

Scripts use it as Block: its methods, events and values that aren’t saved with the scene.
